As Canadians, we know the harsh winter conditions Mother Nature can throw our way. If it’s not snowdrifts six-feet deep, it’s chilly winds that bring tears to your eyes. Naturally, during these cold winter months, we seek refuge inside our homes, which is why it’s important to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that you love to spend time in.

Often when you hear “winter décor” you automatically think of Christmas. And while Christmas décor does have its time and place, what are your plans for the remaining three months? We can’t keep that Christmas tree up forever!

The following five must-have home décor items are neutral, yet seasonal enough to give your home that cozy winter vibe. 

Cozy throws

Nothing warms up a space like a throw. As soon as that snow starts to blow, you’re going to want to cozy up and stay warm. Lastly, swapping out linens like your tea towels, table runner and pillow covers is a great way to update your décor for winter.

Maintain a warm, magical glow throughout the entire winter with twinkle or fairy lights. Opt for battery-powered lights  so you can place them anywhere. They will surely bring a smile to your face any time you turn them on!
